The Pljevlja Gymnasium ((セルビア語:Пљеваљска гимназија / Pljevaljska gimnazija))〔()〕
or Tanasije Pejatović Gymnasium (Гимназија Танасије Пејатовић/Gimnazija Tanasije Pejatović ) in Pljevlja was the eighth Serbian classical gymnasium at that time in Raška, established by the Serbian Orthodox Church for Christian pupils living in the Ottoman Empire. The high school was opened on November 18th, 1901, and became one of the most significant Serbian educational institutions in the Raška, Principality of Montenegro and Serbia.
==Background==

Culture and education are all present throughout the history of Pljevlja and its region. The first educational life, churches and monasteries, as well as in the mosques that came some time later. The Holy Trinity Monastery (Pljevlja) is the richest treasury of cultural and spiritual life of the Orthodox Serbs from the Middle Ages to the present times. The school in the Holy Trinity Monastery has been working continuously since the 16th century. In 1823, primary school services in Pljevlja started working. School in Dovolja monastery has worked since the 18th century.
